Fallout Season 2 moves up its release date and will arrive sooner than expected

The new season of Fallout is about to arrive this week. But it seems that Prime Video is very eager to show us the return of this series, as it has brought forward the release date by one day through a special event.

Through a social media post, we can see that New Vegas, I mean, Las Vegas, was the main setting where this announcement was revealed. Through an activation at the famous Sphere, it was announced that the premiere date for Fallout Season 2 will now be next Tuesday, December 16, at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time, one day ahead of the expected date. The Sphere was transformed into a post-apocalyptic snow globe where the date was revealed with a single tap.

What to expect from Fallout Season 2?

After a long wait, and a production that had some setbacks at the beginning of the year with the fires in California, Season 2 will pick up right where Season 1 left off, with Lucy (Ella Purnell) and The Ghoul (Walton Groggins) traveling through the Mojave Desert on their way to New Vegas in search of Lucy’s father. The season will feature a total of eight episodes, which will premiere weekly until February 4.

For their part, there will be an interesting detail for fans of Fallout: New Vegas in the way the canon of this game will be treated. The series takes place 15 years after the events of Obsidian¡s game, in 2296, and considering that each player made a different decision, executive producer Jonathan Nolan talked about how they took “the fog of war approach,” meaning that “we had the delicious idea that at the end of a conflict, 15 years down the line, every faction might think they won, which I think has a bit of a poetic quality to it.”
