‘Fallout’ showrunners talk about Season 2 and when it could be released
How long will it be before the second season of Fallout is released on Amazon’s Prime Video? The creators of the show are opening up.
The ‘Fallout’ live-action series has been a complete success. An incredible adaptation that once again confirms the potential that productions based on video games currently have, and in the case of ‘Fallout’ it manages to not only translate the video game franchise excellently but also expand the entire story that we thought we knew. The creators of the series, Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet had an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in which they talked about a possible release date for the next season.
When asked about when the series will return, they did not want to give many details, although they are optimistic about how quickly they are moving forward: “The internet has an interesting habit of making non-binding statements binding, so I’m hesitant to give a date that will be taken out of context and live on Reddit for a year or so. But we are going as fast as we possibly can, and we’ve got a lot of heavy lifting from Season 1 already done. We have sets, assets, visual effects, that are already done. We are hitting the ground running this season. We’re going to be pedal to the metal to get season two out as fast as humanly possible”
The future of the ‘Fallout’ series
During the interview, the creators also spoke about the number of seasons they would like the series to have, noting that, due to the success it has had in its premiere, “five is suddenly feeling a little more appealing… We’re just really grateful to have the opportunity to bring to the screen all the things that didn’t quite fit in Season 1.”
An open ending with many possibilities is what the finale of ‘Fallout’ season 1 left us with, with a long road ahead for its three protagonists and many mysteries ahead. A series that remains faithful to the work on which it is based, but serves to expand and provide greater richness to a universe full of personality and charisma.
