Field the Future, Taking the Madden NFL Experience Beyond the Screen

EA SPORTS is taking the sport to the next level this Super Bowl week.

EA SPORTS took the Super Bowl LVIII festivities beyond the big screen with the Field the Future event at Sunrise Mountain High School in Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday, February 6th.

Empowering Women

In partnership with brands such as Nike, Microsoft, the Las Vegas Raiders, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and others, EA SPORTS has sought to promote young women in American football “to advance their skills, passion, and knowledge of the sport on the field and on the screen,” continuing efforts such as last year’s Internship Fund with the UEFA Women’s Champions League in London.

Part of the activities developed to complement the initiative was a roundtable discussion with Noel Painter, Senior Director of Marketing at Microsoft, Katie Sowers, former NFL coach and the first woman in Super Bowl history, Lauren Whitaker, content creator, and Mina Kimes, NFL analyst at ESPN. Here, they discuss the challenges of bringing their passion for sports to the field and the screen.

On the field

After the talk, Sunrise Mountain High School students had the opportunity to spend time with Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby. In this NFL-style combine, the player coached the students’ drills so they could receive their own unique Madden rating.

Finally, the event will include a Head to Head Madden Championship Series stream, broadcasted live from EA SPORTS’ reimagined Madden Cruiser, between members of the Sunrise Mountain eSports Club and popular Madden NFL streamer Lauren Whitaker. After this, the Sunrise Mountain eSports Club will receive a state-of-the-art eSports lounge.

We had the opportunity to witness these events and we can assure you that the energy projected by the motivation of the young people is moving, as it keeps them active in an environment of healthy competition that was seen on the field, as there were boys and girls of virtually all ages.
