Final Fantasy XVI is officially coming to PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store
Final Fantasy XVI is finally making its way to PC, bringing its epic story to many players more.
We are not going to deny it, at Meristation we really loved Final Fantasy XVI. This was reflected in the review that we dedicated to this, the last installment of such a beloved saga, where gushed about how it broke traditions for the franchise and the industry in general. It’s been more than a year since that, and we can finally say that the game is expanding its range of players. Those on PS5 will soon be joined by players on PC.
The title will be released on PC on September 17, through both Steam and the Epic Game Store. Curiously, the announcement came via X from a very well-known name in the industry, which also accumulates both defenders and detractors. Yes, we are talking about Geoff Keighley, who right now is busy with Gamescom.
Geoff Keighley has revealed the PC release date of Final Fantasy XVI in the run-up to Gamescom
It was an announcement without any tinsel or artifice, in a very bland and direct tweet in X. Could it be that this was news for the Gamescom opening gala that was going to be impossible to keep secret? Be that as it may, PC users are in luck. Because while there was a portion of fans who were disappointed with the game, many of us embraced the changes it offered. Final Fantasy has always mutated, it is a characteristic as established and identity as crystals or chocobos, and possibly, one of the reasons why it still survives in top form.
So yes, congratulations PC users, you are in for a story that embraces more adult and mature themes than usual, with direct action and an artistic direction that does not detract from the line of games that medieval fantasy has exploited. There’s a demo on Steam to start testing and a reduced pre-launch price is very attractive.
