First image of Matt Damon as Odysseus in ‘The Odyssey,’ Christopher Nolan’s new film
Matt Damon dresses up as the Greek warrior in the first image from ‘The Odyssey’

Every new Christopher Nolan film brings the movie industry to a standstill. His resume is long enough to have built a significant fan base around his work. After releasing a movie as divisive as ‘Oppenheimer’, the renowned filmmaker is on his way to give audiences his own interpretation of ‘The Odyssey’. We have already seen the first image of one of his protagonists.
As you can see after this paragraph, Matt Damon is wearing the helmet of Odysseus in full detail. The Greek warrior is one of the legendary heroes of local mythology. He is the protagonist of both the Iliad and the Odyssey. Nolan was drawn to Homer’s classic, and Damon was chosen to wear the helmet with the crest. However, there is a sector that is concerned about what the movie will bring.
A star-studded movie
Damon is not the only familiar face in the cast. If ‘The Odyssey’ was notable for anything before we knew what it was about, it was for the number of stars that will be on screen. Paper and pen: Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson, Elliot Page, Samantha Morton. Mia Goth and Will Yun Lee, among others. Almost nothing. We leave you with the synopsis of the original work below:
“‘The Odyssey’ follows the adventures of Odysseus, king of Ithaca, as he attempts to return home after the Trojan War. During his ten-year journey, Odysseus faces many challenges, including encounters with mythical creatures such as the Cyclops Polyphemus, the sorceress Circe, and the Sirens. He also has to deal with the wrath of the gods, especially Poseidon, who seeks revenge against him.”
