First LEGO ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ set officially unveiled, with Derpy and Sussie leading the new line

After several months of anticipation, LEGO has finally unveiled the first official look at the first ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ themed set. Just as the first teaser hinted, it will be Derpy, the supernatural blue tiger, who kicks off this collaboration (and, of course, alongside Sussie)

Under the name ‘Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird Set,’ this collaboration will be available starting August 1, with an estimated price of $69.99. The set aims to capture Derpy’s signature facial expression as faithfully as possible. According to the press release, the development team—including Wes Talbott, Senior Design Master, and Conrad Hallenburg Sode Rasmussen, Graphic Designer at LEGO—considered options ranging from “entirely brick-built to supported by graphic decoration, with the final solution blending both.”

What’s included in the LEGO Derpy and Sussie set?

This collaboration features a figure that, once assembled, will measure 8.5 inches tall, 6 inches long, and 6 inches wide (including Sussie on top of its head, of course).

Derpy can also be posed with two different expressions: the blue tiger can be shown grinning goofily or with his mouth open, with his “Hello Friend” love letter stuck to his tongue. The set also includes some accessories, such as a flower pot and two notes that can be placed on Derpy’s tongue.

The set will include a total of 825 pieces and is currently available for pre-order at the official LEGO store.

As originally announced, this will be the first in a collaboration between ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ and LEGO. Let’s hope those sets arrive before the release of the already-announced sequel, though of course, we’ll have a World Tour first, as announced last month.
