And to celebrate, they have decided to share the first official image of Kratos and Atreus, the two main characters played by Ryan Hurst (The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy) and young Callum Vinson (The Long River of Souls, Crystal Lake).
The first scenes of the series are being filmed in Vancouver, Canada, and this preview shows a moment in which Kratos appears to be teaching his son how to hunt with a bow, just as happens in the opening scenes of God of War (2018). “Father and son. Their journey to the top begins,” reads the message accompanying the preview, which is already generating all kinds of comments on social media. Are you convinced by Hurst and Vinson as Kratos and Atreus?
The Norse saga will make the leap to the small screen in 2027
In God of War, we will follow the journey of Kratos and Atreus as they seek to scatter the ashes of their wife and mother, Faye, in a special place. However, along the way, they will have to face all kinds of dangers and challenges, from the threat of the gods of the Norse pantheon to much more intimate conflicts. “Kratos tries to teach his son to be a better god, while Atreus shows his father how he can be a better human,” according to the official synopsis.
