First Star Wars Outlaws story trailer is pure hype and confirmed to be the big hit of the summer

Nearly 30 years have passed since Darth Sidious destroyed the Jedi Order. A young Luke Skywalker destroyed The first Death Star years ago, but the Empire has struck back hard. Set between Episodes V and VI, Star Wars Outlaws is the first open-world game based on the franchise created by George Lucas. It is an original story with new characters, and survivors in an era of darkness and tyranny. As planned, Ubisoft has unveiled the first story trailer, which draws the boundaries between good and evil in an era of smugglers and bandits.

Along with the video we have been able to know its release date: it will arrive next August 30 to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Ubisoft has confirmed that its offer will be diversified in several special editions that follow the usual structure of the company: Standard Edition, Gold and Ultimate. Those who buy a special edition will be able to start playing three days earlier, from August 27. It will have a season pass that will expand the base content with new stories.

Like Han Solo and Chewbacca, Kay Vess travels the galaxy in search of the juiciest rewards. She does so with Nix, a creature of the Merqaal species who, despite his adorable appearance, is not a pet but a companion, a friend. The equivalent of Chewie to Han, come on. Not surprisingly, Massive Entertainment has introduced playable mechanics that serve to distract enemies. Together you will travel to known and unknown planets in the galaxy far, far away, all the while entering the shady world of criminal syndicates.

Decisions shape Kay and Nix’s relationship with the factions.

In Star Wars Outlaws, choices will be important. While they will not change the ending of the story, they will change some aspects of the missions, as the relationships between the different factions will create “threats and opportunities”. It is known that Kay will be able to work for Jabba the Hutt himself, who is living his last years before his final fall at the hands of Leia Organa. The game will tell a never-before-seen part of the Star Wars story involving the delivery of Han Solo, frozen in carbonite, to the criminal leader of Tatooine. However, the smuggler may choose to betray him, which does not bode well for a measured response from the kingpin.

The game will implement a GTA-like alert system, which will put the Galactic Empire on notice. That means the protagonist duo will have to flee and fight for their lives until the alert level drops. Conflict with the Empire seems inevitable, will Kay and Nix join the Rebellion at some point?
