Horror movie lovers are in for an interesting few months. Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for ‘28 Years Later’, the third film in the franchise started by Danny Boyle, who is now back at the helm. The video, which you can watch below, leaves no doubt about the grittiness of the hostile world that Earth has become. The film will be released on June 20, 2025.

Few details about the movie have been released. The premise is somewhat clear from the title. It is a look at the state of society 10,228 days later, after a zombie apocalypse has changed humanity forever. In the trailer, we see settlements where groups of survivors are crowding together, trying to emulate as best they can how life was lived before this catastrophe.

Though Cillian Murphy does not appear in the shared footage, we do get a detailed look at Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s characterization, who, bow in hand, is in full battle with as he moves away from the safety of the walls. Along with the aforementioned, we can expect the participation of Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell, Erin Kellyman, Edvin Ryding, Chi Lewis-Parry and Nathan Hall, among others.
