First Trailer for Karate Kid: Legends Reunites Jackie Chan, Ben Wang and Ralph Macchio

Cobra Kai is entering its final stretch, with a few episodes still to come. However, we know this universe will continue to bring us joy in 2025. This morning, Sony Pictures released the first trailer for the next chapter in the series, Karate Kid: Legends, which will reunite the legends of Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio. Although we do not yet know how Cobra Kai, which ends in February 2025, will end, we can imagine that the outcome will be positive for Daniel LaRusso, who, according to the official synopsis, will continue to share the Miyagi-Do karate techniques.

Synopsis of Karate Kid: Legends

According to the trailer release, this will be the story of Karate Kid Legends: “After a family tragedy, kung fu prodigy Li Fong (Ben Wang) is uprooted from his home in Beijing and forced to move to New York City with his mother. Li struggles to let go of his past as he tries to fit in with his new classmates, and although he doesn’t want to fight, trouble seems to find him everywhere. When a new friend needs his help, Li enters a karate competition – but his skills alone aren’t enough. Li’s kung fu teacher Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) enlists original Karate Kid Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) for help, and Li learns a new way to fight, merging their two styles into one for the ultimate martial arts showdown.”

For now, we just have to wait a few more months for the movie’s release, as Karate Kid: Legends is scheduled to be released on May 30, 2025. And while all this is happening, don’t forget that Netflix is already working on a new spin-off series based on Mr. Miyagi.
