Netflix is releasing one of the most anticipated premieres of the year this summer. ‘The Last House’ blends science fiction and horror in an ambitious film that puts two acting heavyweights in the spotlight: Greta Lee (‘Past Lives’) and Wagner Moura (‘The Secret Agent’). The truth is that Netflix is keeping a lot of secrets about ‘The Last House’. Beyond the premise, few details have been officially shared. “A family of four are suddenly sealed inside their home with no way out, and must work together to survive against both their dwindling resources and the mysterious, looming threat that is keeping them trapped,” says the production company.
The film is directed by Louis Leterrier, a veteran director who is still relatively young, with credits including ‘Transporter 2’ (2005), ‘Clash of the Titans’ (2010), ‘Fast X’ (2023), and ‘Tycoon’ (2024). He has plenty of experience with action films; now it’s his turn to showcase his talent in science fiction and horror.
