Sony Pictures has kindly released the first trailer for ‘Venom: The Last Dance’, the third movie in the Venom saga starring Tom Hardy. It will be released worldwide in October 2024 and promises to be a spectacular conclusion to this unique trilogy of one of the most interesting villains/anti-heroes in the Spider-Man universe.

Venom: The Last Dance’ is the third and final film about Marvel’s most famous symbiote.

Venom: The Last Dance’ has Eddie Brock on the run from the authorities, who are well aware of the presence of aliens like Venom on planet Earth. This makes the odd couple fugitives. At least that seems to be the plot for the first half of the movie; in the trailer, you can see how other symbiotes from Venom’s home planet also arrive to invade Earth.

There is a sensitive note in the video where it is suggested that the outcome may be the death of Brock, something quite present from the title of the movie. In the trailer it can also be perceived that there will be part of the sense of humor present in the two previous installments, with exchanges between Eddie Brock and the Venom symbiote, where the peculiar dynamic between the two characters will continue to delve.

There is also no shortage of action scenes, as one would expect from a production of this nature; the most notable in this case is one in which Venom confronts one of his fellow symbiotes in mid-flight on an airplane.

This third installment features the aftermath of the post-credits scene from Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), which ultimately seems to lead nowhere in the MCU. In it, Tom Hardy’s Venom was transported to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but instead of confronting Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, he spent the entire time in a bar catching up on the differences between that reality and his own.

However, he left behind a fragment of himself that is recovered in the trailer for Venom 3′ by Chiwetel Ejiofor’s character, the leader of the military who is trying to capture Eddie Brock. In short, a very questionable decision that raises more questions than it answers. The bar scene is said to have taken place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while the Venom trilogy is set in Sony’s Spider-Man universe. So where does that leave us?

First official ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ Poster and Release Date

As part of the release of promotional material for the film, Sony Pictures has also unveiled the first official poster for the feature film. As usual, Tom Hardy and the computer-generated Venom symbiote take up most of the spotlight.

Other actors such as Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rhys Ifans or Alanna Ubach have unspecified roles, and Cristo Fernandez reprises his role as the bartender from the post-credits scene in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.

The movie has a budget of $110 million, and based on the trailer, it’s expected to cut no corners when it comes to action sequences and assorted carnage.
