Fortnite and LEGO Fortnite offer three free outfits: how to get them
Epic Games is giving away the Chord Kahele, Mr. Dappermint, and Explorer Emilie outfits to celebrate LEGO Fortnite’s first year. How can you get them?
Epic Games is celebrating the one-year anniversary of LEGO Fortnite, its Minecraft-like building and survival game mode, by giving away several new outfits. These free outfits include styles for standard Fortnite modes, so they are also compatible with other classic modes like Battle Royale, Zero Build, or Creative.
How to get the Mr. Dappermint and Explorer Emilie outfits for free in Fortnite and LEGO Fortnite
To get the Mr. Dappermint and Explorer Emilie outfits for free in Fortnite and LEGO Fortnite, we need to link our games and our Epic Games account with a LEGO Store account. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Go to the LEGO Store website.
- Log in with your LEGO Store account. If you don’t already have one, you will need to create one.
- Click on Name/My Account and go to the Account Settings section.
- Go to “Connections”.
- Click Link Epic Games Account. After that, we have to log in with the details of the account we use to play Fortnite and LEGO Fortnite. Follow all the steps that appear on the screen.
The Explorer Emilie outfit was part of a previous promotion from December 2023 that is still active and consisted of linking Epic Games and LEGO Fortnite accounts, but if we did not have it, we can still get it. The new Mr. Dappermint skin will also be awarded through the same process, so we’ll get one or both depending on whether we already had Explorer Emilie or not.
How to get the free Chord Kahele skin in Fortnite and LEGO Fortnite
To get the free Chord Kahele skin in Fortnite and LEGO Fortnite, we need to get XP in the Fortnite mobile app downloaded from the Epic Games Store or other compatible stores before February 21, 2025. The procedure is as follows:
If we play on Android
- Download the Epic Games application from the official website.
- Once installed, open it and install Fortnite from within the Epic Games application.
- We launch Fortnite and enter our game/Epic Games login details.
- We play Fortnite until we get the XP needed to unlock Chord Kahele, as long as we are still within the time limit.
If we play on iOS
- Download the Fortnite app from the official website.
- We launch Fortnite and enter our game/Epic Games login information.
- We play Fortnite until we get the XP needed to unlock Chord Kahele, while we are still within the time limit.
Keep in mind that the Fortnite and Epic Games apps are currently only available in some territories such as Europe, but not yet worldwide, so this method has severe limitations.
In both cases, the notification that we have received these cosmetic items should appear the next time we start Fortnite, once we have completed the unlock requirements. As usual, once unlocked, these outfits will be ours forever, and we will be able to access them from the Locker to equip them whenever we want.
