Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 brings back many players and sets a new record
According to information compiled by Fortnite.GG, an unofficial website that uses the game’s official servers to collect game information, Fortnite had a peak of 2,817,867 concurrent players last Sunday, August 27, 2023, at 12:30 PM CT. Nearly three million people were playing Fortnite at the same time if you add up all the game modes, both official and standard (Battle Royale, Zero Build, Team Rumble, Save the World), as well as the more than a few different maps and experiences of Creative Mode.
As we’ve noted before, while this site is not official from Fortnite/Epic Games, the statistics are because the graphs collect data from the game itself, hosted on servers whose endpoints are accessible by the game’s data-mining community.
Another fact to keep in mind is that since Fortnite has been displaying its player count in its game modes (April 2023), there have always been at least a million players at any given time. Except, of course, for periods of server downtime due to maintenance and new updates. There is no such thing as a dead game.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is very popular with players, which has led the popular game from Epic Games to break a new record for concurrent players. No wonder since it is loaded with new features and brings with it new and unexpected collaborations such as Khaby Lame or Ahsoka Tano.
