Fortnite changes its Battle Pass: here’s how to get the new outfits and accessories in the new season
Pacific Break, Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1, debuted on Sunday, November 30, 2025. In this new stage of the game, Epic Games has introduced a drastic change to the Battle Pass: now, instead of advancing through the different pages as we level up, we can choose which outfits and accessories to unlock first, which has confused many players.
Broadly speaking, the system works as follows: first, you must obtain the Pass itself, which can be purchased for $7.99 or by subscribing to Fortnite Crew ($11.99/month). Once you have done this, as you play and level up, you will have the option to unlock the accessories for the outfits you want. The only things we can’t change are the first and last ones we’ll get: first, the Kill Bill Bride, and last, Dark Voyager (Reality Redacted).
Once we reach level 5, we can choose which outfit and accessories to focus our progress on for the next level-ups:
- Cat Holloway
- Kingston
- Carter Wu
- Carina
- Marty McFly
- Miles Cross
Each time we complete all the items for a specific character, we can choose which one to unlock next, and so on until we get all the items and can “complete” the Pass with the Dark Voyager (Reality Redacted) items last.

As you can see, it’s not a complicated system, and it’s better than the previous one in the sense that we can get the items we’re most interested in much sooner, such as Marty McFly’s outfit from ‘Back to the Future.’ With the previous system, we would have had to level up to almost 100 to get the outfit and its accessories, whereas now, from level 5 onwards, we can start getting these items. In other words, there is now greater freedom and less pressure to play before the end of the season to get what we want.
