On Thursday, October 9, 2025, Fortnite patch 37.50 was implemented, adding all the new features of Fortnitemares, this year’s Halloween event. Among all the new cosmetic items added with the update, one stands out in particular: a glider featuring the aliens Kang and Kodos from ‘The Simpsons’, marking the first official collaboration with the popular American animated series.

However, it is not just its mere presence that is striking; its description is also very significant. “Can you believe it, Kodos? They’ve left us out of the Battle Pass,” it reads, implying that a new Simpsons-themed Pass will be arriving very soon. For several years now, Fortnite has been celebrating month-long themed mini-seasons that usually take up the entire month of November, as a preview for each new Chapter of the game. Normally, these mini-seasons are nostalgic throwbacks to previous Chapters, although there have also been entire mini-seasons focused on Star Wars.

Several reputable insiders from the Fortnite community have been saying for weeks that Epic Games had a new mini-season planned for the entire month of November focused on “The Simpsons,” and the arrival of Kang and Kodos in the form of cosmetic items seems to corroborate these claims. Although there has been no official announcement yet, with Fortnite there are no coincidences, and Epic’s inclusion of this unencrypted hang glider in the files of the latest update points to a deliberate maneuver to generate hype without saying too much.
