Once again, Fortnite is pulling out all the stops by giving away a new free outfit to mobile players. As on previous occasions, the procedure is very simple; just earn XP while playing any game mode from a mobile device, and the Thrilldiver outfit will be yours forever. Below we explain how to get it step by step:

How to get the new Thrilldiver outfit for free in Fortnite in August 2025: step by step

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, a promotion began on the mobile version of Fortnite that allows you to get a free outfit. The steps to follow are very simple:

1. Download Fortnite on Android or iOS.
2. Once downloaded and installed, open the app and log in with your Epic Games account. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to create one.
3. Once logged in, you’ll need to earn a total of 100,000 XP while playing any mode available on Fortnite for mobile.

And that’s it! Once you’ve done that, you’ll get the new Thrilldiver outfit completely free of charge and forever. Best of all, once you’ve unlocked it, it will remain in your Locker forever, so you can equip it from other versions of the game, whether on PC or console. Of course, the only requirement for unlocking it is to earn the required XP on mobile devices only. Although 100,000 XP may seem like a lot, it only takes about an hour of gameplay in almost any mode to earn this experience and even more, so unlocking the outfit won’t take you long.

As usual, Fortnite outfits are simply cosmetic additions; they do not affect the balance of the game itself. In other words, they are different characters that we can control in the different modes, but in no case will they give us a competitive advantage over other players.
