Fortnite is gearing up for its next big event, featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their iconic nemesis: Shredder. In this news, we detail everything we know about this event, which will take place in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1:
When is the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Cowabunga event in Fortnite?
The ‘’Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’' Cowabunga event will begin on Friday, February 9, 2023 at 9:00 AM ET. This date and time is equivalent to the following in the United States:
- 9:00 AM ET
- 8:00 AM CT
- 6:00 AM PT
Inside the video game itself, a tab with the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ icon has appeared (between “Play” and “Locker”), where we can see the countdown.
Thanks to the files included in Fortnite with the 28.10 patch last Tuesday, January 23, we know that in this countdown will gradually appear Shredder, the villain of the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’.

What do we know about the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Cowabunga event in Fortnite?
In addition to the start date of the ‘’Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’' event in Fortnite, we know that it will be a mini-battle pass with a new Shredder outfit. The main clue is that the icon of the jolly turtles is part of the Fortnite menu; this has only happened in previous occasions with mini-pass events, such as the Star Wars Find the Force event with the Darth Maul skin.
