Fortnite showcases many new features from ‘Kill Bill’ and its Chapter 7 at Tarantino’s New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles

On Wednesday, November 19, Epic Games held a lavish event at the historic New Beverly Cinema—located in Los Angeles, CA—owned by Quentin Tarantino since 2007. Here, new content from Chapter 7 Season 1 of the game was shown for the first time, which will arrive on November 30, one day after the highly anticipated Zero Hour finale event.

Tarantino acted as master of ceremonies, and Uma Thurman, the other star of the evening, was also in attendance. Her presence confirmed one of the most talked-about collaborations in recent months: not only will the Bride from Kill Bill be part of the game with her own outfit, but there will also be one for Gogo Yubari, one of the most memorable villains from Volume 1 of the film.

Tarantino’s decision to offer his intellectual property to Fortnite has ruffled feathers among the filmmaker’s most purist fans, especially given his harsh criticism of superhero movies. However, everything points to the famous director agreeing to this in order to bring his vision for the lost chapter of Kill Bill, titled “Yuki’s Revenge,” to life within Fortnite. In other words, a third outfit in contention has been confirmed: Yuki Yubari.

Broadly speaking, Yuki is the sister of Gogo Yubari, who was killed by the Bride in Kill Bill: Volume 1. Tarantino planned to continue with a new revenge story in which Yuki searched for Beatrix Kiddo in the United States, and new artwork from Fortnite indicates that this peculiar narrative thread will come to fruition within the video game as part of Chapter 7 Season 1.

This unique collaboration is part of the promotional tour for ‘Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair,’ a re-release of both parts of Kill Bill as a single feature film, following Tarantino’s original vision. The Whole Bloody Affair will be released in the United States on December 5.
