Fortnite unveils the official trailer for Lawless, its new season: new map, new weapons, new outfits and more
We take a detailed look at all the changes and new features shown in the official trailer of Lawless, the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2.
On Friday, February 21, 2025, comes to Fortnite Lawless, which is what its new season is called. This is Chapter 6 Season 2 of the game and will bring many new features in the form of a new map with new areas, new weapons, new game mechanics, new outfits and many more surprises. Part of this new content can be seen in the official trailer that has already been released and that we will analyze in detail in this news:

The official trailer for Lawless, the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, was released on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. ET on the game’s various official social networks. It’s a video that’s just one minute and forty seconds long, in which we get to see in great detail much of what’s coming very soon to the popular battle royale video game.
Lawless brings with it a host of new features, as is customary with each new season of Fortnite. Epic Games spares no expense or effort to keep its star video game up to date, and the best way to do that is to offer new content roughly every three months, which is how long each season typically lasts.

At the end of the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 event, the portal through which the Sogun X entered the island was overloaded and destroyed by its mystical energy, causing gold to emanate from it. This gold has not only allowed the creation of a new city called the Crime District, with a variety of buildings and even banks with vaults, but has also attracted all sorts of rogues and ruffians to the new island to fight each other for this wealth.
One of the new Battle Pass outfits seems to be the new “master of the show” and villain of this phase. This is the wolf, dressed as a don, who rules his territory with an iron fist, always vigilant and attentive, lest he be robbed of what he has rightfully earned.

While the trailer doesn’t reveal the entire map itself, it does reveal some of the various new locations we’ll be visiting. In addition to the new and decadent metropolis Crime District - which we don’t know if it will be 100% new or if it will replace Seaport City - we also got a glimpse of places as diverse as the subway mines that connect different points of the island, which we will be able to traverse at will.
Within the urban environments, the presence of a bank with its own security camera is highlighted, which we can raid for a hefty loot.. if we can get past their security measures, such as surveillance cameras, turrets, and the guards themselves, as well as other players who also want to sink their teeth into this coveted treasure.
The Mafia Wolf’s huge and ostentatious mansion is also noticeable. This is undoubtedly a heavily defended location where we will see him in person. Finally, it seems that this new map brings with it the renewal of several named locations, so that the gameplay remains fresh and there is that sense of discovery of new places typical of the beginning of each new season.

The section in which there are undoubtedly more weighty novelties is the playable one. Thanks to the official trailer, we were able to discover many important new features, which we list below:
- New weapons will be available, including a new assault rifle, a new shotgun, a new glue grenade launcher, pipe bombs, a new dual two-handed weapon consisting of a small shotgun coupled with a submachine gun, and an electric baseball bat.
- Heists and robberies of the bank vault in the Crime District will be a central part of the gameplay, as we will be able to obtain loot by successfully completing them. The satchel containing the stolen money/gold is an item we can carry with us... and lose if we are eliminated. We will be able to use new weapons and tools to crack the vault, such as a drill and a cutting laser.
- The train from last season will still be there, and now it has defensive systems like automatic turrets to prevent robberies.
- There are new vehicles like an armored car.
- Sub-Zero will have his own mythic weapon consisting of an icy slide and a spear strike, combining mobility and offense like the original move in the Mortal Kombat saga video games.

Although we already know what the eight outfits of the Lawless Battle Pass look like, the trailer showed us new styles for them, as well as other unseen characters. Among the new outfits, an elegant Doberman in a suit who appears to be one of the henchmen of the evil Wolf Mafia stands out. There is also a thieving opossum who tried to steal the wolf’s gold, but his henchmen got it back the hard way. So one of the themes of the new outfits will be anthropomorphic animals.
The hilarious “Rapper Pickle”, who we have already seen in the promotional artwork for the season and who will be one of the outfits in the Battle Pass, has also shown alternative styles, including one as a thief in which he wears a balaclava in a comical way, we understand, so that he will not be recognized during one of his “master heists”.
In addition to Sub-Zero as a collaboration with Mortal Kombat and the big highlight of the season, we also have the “Reggaeton Midas” as the community has dubbed him, showing a much more urban and modern version of the beloved character. In short, the new outfits during this phase of the game will delight Fortnite fans, as despite the theme of theft and robbery, there will also be a great deal of variety and originality.
As you can see, Lawless offers a robust proposition that combines action, robberies, and the frenetic nature of Fortnite shootouts. Its distinct urban and criminal setting is also an element to highlight, as it influences the appearance of the available outfits. With this new season, Epic Games continues to demonstrate its ability to reinvent its flagship title with each season, introducing new mechanics that energize the game experience and maintain the interest of its massive community. These are the completion dates and times initially proposed by Epic Games, which could change if there is a delay or advance. In order to enjoy all the content of the new season, we will have to download patch 34.00 and wait several hours for the Epic Games servers to finish their maintenance to implement all these changes.
