Forza Horizon 5 announced as a new Xbox title coming to PlayStation 5
With no previous leaks, Xbox announces that Forza Horizon 5 will be the next title to come to PlayStation 5 from outside its own ecosystem.

About a year ago, Microsoft did the unthinkable: it announced that four of its exclusive games would be coming to platforms like PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. Although that list has grown, with more recent games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle coming to PlayStation 5 in a few weeks, this afternoon Microsoft surprised us once again with a completely unexpected announcement, expanding the consoles where its catalog of games can be found.
In a brief announcement on X (formerly Twitter), Xbox revealed that Forza Horizon 5 will be coming to PlayStation 5 in the spring of this year, including cross-play between the platforms.
No further details have been given at this time, as this is a complete surprise announcement. Launched in 2021, Forza Horizon 5 brought the Horizon Festival experience to Mexico, allowing players to experience an adapted version of the country’s jungles, deserts and cities.
The list of Xbox games on other consoles continues to grow
It’s no surprise that the company’s exclusive games have been migrating to both PlayStation and Nintendo Switch in recent months. Phil Spencer’s comments have indicated that the company no longer sees a red line when it comes to the exclusivity of its games. Since the announcement in early 2024 that Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, and Pentiment would be coming to other platforms, the idea of even more iconic titles coming to other platforms is no longer a fantasy.
