Forza Horizon 6 is official, coming to PS5 and fulfilling the dream of millions of fans: we will finally be driving on the roads of Japan
Playground Games is set for a very promising 2026 thanks to Fable 4 and the recently announced sixth installment of its flagship racing series.

They say that where there’s smoke, there’s fire. And in this case, there have been several years of rumors—and, on numerous occasions, wishes—pointing to what has just happened at TGS (Tokyo Game Show 2025), because Microsoft has planted itself in the cradle of video games and just announced the long-awaited Forza Horizon 6 set in Japan, which millions of fans have been dreaming about for a long time. We know it’s hard to believe, but it’s real: the sixth installment of Playground Games’ open-world driving series will allow us to drive on Japanese roads and race at the foot of Mount Fuji.
Forza Horizon 6 will arrive in 2026 (exact date to be determined, with a high probability of it being in the fall) and will be available from day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. For now, it has been confirmed for Xbox, PC, and PS5, although we will have to wait to find out the release date for the Sony console, as has been the case with various Microsoft games such as Sea of Thieves, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Pentiment, and Forza Horizon 5 itself.

A few years ago, when it was announced that the studio responsible for the Forza Horizon series was leading the development of Fable 4, many people were shocked, as it is true that this was a really surprising decision. However, the first videos and the game’s impressive visuals won everyone over, and it has now become one of the most anticipated Xbox games in a long time. This is not surprising, as Fable was a very popular franchise between 2004 and 2010, during which time the three main installments were released on Xbox (the first and Lost Chapters) and Xbox 360 (the second and third). Fable 4 was delayed and is now scheduled for release in 2026.
