Friday the 13th
Friday the 13th: In which order should the films of the Jason Voorhees saga be watched?
Chronological order of all installments of ‘Friday the 13th′, the horror movie saga starring the killer Jason Voorhees.
Friday the 13th is one of the most famous horror sagas in the history of cinema and has one of the most terrifying protagonists in the entire genre. Jason Voorhees, the ruthless killer protagonist of the series, has transcended cinema and made the leap to a variety of formats, becoming an icon of popular culture and even starring in his own multiplayer video game. But back to the movies, today we are going to review the chronological order in which to enjoy the franchise, as there are already 12 films, including a crossover and a reboot.
Chronological Order of the Friday the 13th Saga
In general, the order of the ‘Friday the 13th’ saga is not much of a mystery, since most of the movies are in order and it is indicated in the number of the title. You just have to be careful with the three that do not. The Final Chapter’ would be part 5, ‘A New Beginning’ part 6 and ‘The Final Friday’ part 9. But knowing that, there are only two movies in the saga that are out of order.
The first would be the 2009 reboot, which would retell the story of the first four installments and tell us the origins of Voorhees. The second would be ‘Freddy vs. Jason’, the crossover with ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’, which is the most recent, but would take place before ‘Jason X’. And while waiting for new movies (or the new series of the creator of ‘Hannibal’), we just need to wait.
