‘Furiosa: A Mad Max saga’ gets a release date for streaming on Max
One of the biggest hits of 2024, ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’, now has a date for its glorious arrival for streaming on HBO’s Max.
Great news for Max subscribers: one of the biggest blockbusters of 2024 now has a release date on the platform. ‘Furiosa: A Max Max saga’ will land on the service on August 16. It will do so just three months after its time in theaters, a period that invites viewers who did not get to catch it on the big screen to be able to enjoy the newest George Miller movie.
‘Mad Max’ continues to step on the accelerator
The film stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, who hit the road as an adventure parallel to what we saw a few years ago in ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’. “As the world collapses, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Horde of Bikers led by Warlord Dementus,” explains the producer in its official description. “As they travel through the wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by Immortan Joe. Furiosa must overcome many trials while gathering the means to find a way to return home while the two Tyrants fight for power.”
At MeriStation we were quite convinced with the film. In our review, we said that George Miller “constructs one of the most spectacular sequences in the history of cinema” condensed into “20 minutes in which the viewer remains amazed.” Leaving aside that spectacular portion, the film does not step on the brakes before the epic that is unleashed on the desert of this apocalyptic world. “The assembly is sensational”, we concluded.
