‘Game of Thrones’ Iron Throne is in Elden Ring, although in a slightly different way you’d think
George R.R. Martin, author of the ‘Song of Ice and Fire’ books, worked alongside FromSoftware to create the lore of Elden Ring, so references are expected.
Elden Ring is one of the best games FromSoftware has ever delivered. It is an action RPG with mechanics similar to those of Dark Souls, although set in a gigantic open world. As usual for the Japanese studio, the game’s lore is quite cryptic. But in this case there is a very special person who did his part when writing the story: George R.R. Martin.
Martin is the author of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’, the books that inspired one of the best series in history: ‘Game of Thrones’. Did you know that the Iron Throne exists in Elden Ring? Of course, it is not a throne as such to sit on, but a sword whose aesthetic design is clearly a nod to the HBO series.

The first thing you should know is that it is a legendary weapon, so if you are trying to get all the trophies and achievements, you need to get it.
It is not particularly difficult to locate it, since it is the reward for defeating an optional boss: Leonine Misbegotten. It can be found at the end of Castle Morne, at the southern end of the Weeping Peninsula.
Shadow of the Erdtree release date
Shadow of the Erdtree is one of the most anticipated releases of 2024 and it is not a new game, but a piece of DLC for Elden Ring. It will be the first and only expansion of FromSoftware’s RPG and will be available on June 21, 2021 on all platforms the game was released on.
