HBO

‘Game of Thrones’: these were the spectacular physical changes of the protagonists throughout the show

How much did the ‘Game of Thrones’ stars change throughout the show’s long life? Take a look

Tyrion Lannister

Time does not pass without leaving its mark, and the protagonists of ‘Game of Thrones’ were not going to be immune to it either. Released originally in 2011, the series broadcast on HBO began with a young Kit Harington (Jon Snow), who was then 35 years old, but who would end, after the eight seasons of which the show consists, already at 43. This was also the case with others such as Nicolaj Coster Waldau (Jamie Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), and Emilia Clarke (Dhaenerys Targaryen), as well as many others, who experienced an obvious physical change as a result of age.

Through this thread on X, user Javier Cañavat (@JavierWot), we can glimpse the more than evident physical changes of some of the most popular stars from the series. In addition to those mentioned above, we have Sansa and Bran Stark, and Tyrion Lannister, all of them being the first characters to appear in the series.

The future of ‘Game of Thrones’

As for what is to come related to the very popular George R. R. Martin saga, the most imminent thing is the premiere of the second season of ‘The House of the Dragon’, which will be on June of this year. This will be a month with a lot of “work” for fans of the series since it coincides with the premiere of the fourth season of ‘The Boys’ on Prime Video. The production of the series was not affected by the strike of Hollywood writers and actors, so it continued as planned and is one of the few series that has maintained its normal pace in recent months.

However, it is not the only thing, since two other spin off shows are already taking shape. ’A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ is the one we’ve been hearing of the longest, although at the moment few details are known, while there is another series underway starring Aegon I The Conqueror, again focused on House Targaryen.
