GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, the 1440p gaming card with DLSS and ray tracing
A GPU that delivers outstanding performance
NVIDIA’s graphics card reviews are not over yet. We have already tested the GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4090, which showed us what the new DLSS 3.0 was capable of, which came with Shader Execution Reordering, a technology that, at least in games where it is already integrated, helps to significantly increase the generation of frames per second. Now we had the chance to evaluate the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, an ideal card for gaming at 1440p resolutions with DLSS and ray tracing.
This evaluation was performed on a PC with the following specifications:
GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Specifications
Installation
Unlike the NVIDIA GeForce 4080 and NVIDIA GeForce 4090, this card does not require more space, so it can be installed in virtually any rack, and it integrates its 8-pin PCIe adapter cables if you do not have a power supply with a PCIe Gen 5 cable of at least 300W.
Methodology
To make it easier to read, this time we focused on 15 games with their own benchmark. Some of the titles we ran with DLSS in its latest version, for example if they had DLSS 3.0, the same case if they had frame generation technology. In cases where the game could run over 60 FPS, we ran it without DLSS. All games were run with the highest visual settings.
Results
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: 87 FPS
Borderlands 3: 78.67 FPS
Cyberpunk 2077: 53.13 FPS
Dirt 5: 100.6 FPS
Dying Light 2: 70.15 FPS
F1 23: 52 FPS
Forza Horizon 5: 64 FPS
Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition: 106 FPS
Immortals Fenyx Rising: 76 FPS
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: 66 FPS
Red Dead Redemption 2: 76 FPS
Returnal: 62 FPS
Shadow of the Tomb Raider: 56 FPS
Callisto Protocol: 72.1 FPS
Watch Dogs Legion: 33 FPS
Noise and temperature
This piece of hardware never exceeded 63°C during testing with virtually no noise.
Additional Notes
The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti continues the RTX 40 family with NVIDIA Reflex, NVIDIA Broadcast, Rezisible Bar, Ansel, FreeStyle, ShadowPlay, Highlights, G-Sync, Omniverse, and virtual reality viewer compatibility.
Conclusion
The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is one of the most solid choices for 1440p gaming with raytracing and DLSS at the highest specs to average over 60 FPS. However, if you are a Full HD gamer with a monitor that supports technologies like G-Sync, you will be able to take advantage of its low latency and frame rate generation technologies with compatible games.
