Geoff Keighley warns of Silksong's appearance at Gamescom's Opening Knight Live

Every generation has its highly anticipated titles. Duke Nukem Forever, Neverwinter Nights, Kingdom Hearts 3 are a few that come to mind. Their long gestation periods, the promises they tried to fulfill, or simply the hype, elevated them to a cult status that few can escape. For this generation, Hollow Knight: Silksong has become the title that floods chat rooms at every major presentation, with fans hoping to see more of it. With Gamescom and Opening Night Live kicking off, many fans are hoping this is the place to be.

Over the weekend, Geoff Keighley used his social media to build up hype for his Opening Night Live presentation, but also to be honest with fans about what they can and can’t expect from the presentation.  One of the many tweets was the mention of Silksong, which is bad news for those still waiting to see something related to the game: “Just to get this out of the way, no Silksong on Tuesday at ONL. @TeamCherryGames is still cooking.”

So... we have to keep waiting, just don’t flood the chats or mention on social media that this time we will finally see something related to this game.

When and what time is Gamescom Opening Night Live?

Gamescom 2024 will run from Wednesday, August 21st through Sunday, August 25th, with the Opening Night Live 2024 preview starting at 1:30 pm ET / 10:30 am PT on Tuesday, August 20th, and the event itself starting at 2:00 pm ET / 11:00 am PT. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, the show is one of the highlights of the entire event and is expected to feature a number of new features as well as more information on previously announced games.
