George R.R. Martin reveals there are many spin-offs coming after ‘House of the Dragon’

The HBO adaptations of George R.R. Martin’s novels wont stop with ‘House of the Dragon’ and ‘Game of Thrones’, with several more already underway.

House of the Dragon’ closes its second season confirming its enormous success and highlighting the following that continues to exist for the universe of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ after ‘Game of Thrones’. The work of George R.R. Martin does not go out of style, and that is why many spin-offs are being developed around the world that the legendary author has created.

Recently, George R.R. Martin spoke at the Oxford Writers’ House about ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’, the next spin-off that will be released in 2025, but he took the opportunity to talk about what is being prepared for after, and it is no small thing. A total of seven series are being developed, three of them being animation and the other four being live-action. It is possible that not all of them end up released, but what is certain is that Martin’s work will accompany us for a long time in our lives.

The future of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’

While all fans of George R.R.’s work Martin are eagerly awaiting the launch of his sixth book, we will have to settle for television fiction around his world. What will the new series in development be about? It is currently known that there will be an animated series about Lord Corlys Velarion, the Sea Serpent; as well as another about the Golden Empire of Yi Ti, which will show the most unknown part of the ‘Song of Ice and Fire’ universe.

One of the most anticipated live-action shows is the one that will deal with the conquest of Aegon Targaryen, which is surely one of the cards that HBO is preparing and could become one of the most successful productions in the company’s history. Also, 10,000 Ships, which will tell the story of the warrior queen Nymeria and the fleet with which she brought her people to the shores of Dorne.
