Sucker Punch has just unveiled their next title, a PS5 exclusive sequel to Ghost of Tsushima called “Ghost of Yotei”, and it’s beautiful.
The biggest surprise during the latest State of Play showcase was Sucker Punch’s next title. Ghost of Yotei will take us to the Edo period with a new protagonist. Many expected Ghost of Tsushima 2, but the studio has taken another path with a new face and unprecedented setting. It will arrive in 2025 and its first gameplay trailer is already incredible-looking.
First details of Ghost of Yutei, the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima
We know that the new installment of the saga will be set in 1603, four centuries after the adventures of Jin Sakai. The name of the new protagonist is Atsu, a new “ghost” who will thread the path of the Ronin while leaving behind the ghosts of her past.
The adventure will revolve around Mount Yotei, a location in northern Japan that is significantly higher than Tsushima. It is “riddled with green steppes, snowy tundras and unexpected dangers.” The variety of styles is palpable in the video. We see that the katana is just one of the many tools at his disposal, like the protagonist of the first adventure. And yes, it seems that we will have the company of a wolf.
