Giancarlo Esposito confirms the villain he will play in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’

The popular actor reveals the new villain role in his career.

San Diego Comic-Con continued to surprise with all kinds of revelations throughout the weekend, and one of them was Giancarlo Esposito’s role in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, the fourth film in the franchise. The popular actor confirmed the villain he will play in the new installment of the popular superhero, and the excitement among those in attendance was notorious.

“I’m the king of the snake society,” Esposito declared at San Diego Comic-Con. The actor will play Seth Voelker, known as Sidewinder, the leader of a snake-themed super villain organization with snake powers. He is the leader of a society that first appeared in 1985 in issue #310 of Captain America.

The American actor is known for many roles throughout his career, but his great recognition came through Gustavo Fring in ‘Breaking Bad’. Now, with Sidewinder, he returns to the skin of a villain of which he has insisted that “you have not seen me use my body like I’m going to do”, so his passage through the new Captain America aims to leave no one indifferent.

What is ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ about? The movie’s synopsis reads, “After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.”
