Godzilla’ was released in Nagoya, Japan, on October 27, 1954. This classic was re-released in the United States under the title Godzilla, King of the Monsters! More than 70 years later, it continues to be relevant, with films and works released under various labels. From the legendary Toho to the Legendary, the latter develops its Japanese productions and now shows us a Godzilla like never before.

The popularity of kaiju continues to grow, and Toho plans to increase it even further with a one billion dollar investment. The project begins with a new version of Godzilla for Southeast Asia. In a promotional video, the creature is shown in iconic locations throughout the region, such as Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Godzilla continues to grow in popularity worldwide

It’s a great tribute to Southeast Asia, and it could mean that the creature will appear in other parts of the planet on this special journey while we celebrate its 70th anniversary.

Following the huge success of Godzilla Minus One, the historic kaiju is preparing new movies in Japan and trying to reach other media. For example, a new manga called ‘Godzilla Galaxy Odyssey’ is set to be published later this spring.
