Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age are coming to Nintendo Switch Online

Two of the greatest Game Boy Advance RPGs are finally coming back, as both Golden Sun games on the handheld will be joining the Nintendo Switch Online library.

In February 2023, Nintendo announced that Golden Sun would be part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack catalog, but the months passed and the classic Game Boy Advance title was nowhere to be found. The wait is over almost a year later since the company announced that Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age will be available starting January 17 for all subscribers.

The news was revealed by Nintendo of America’s account on X, which accompanied the tweet with a trailer for both games. Developed by Camelot, both Golden Sun and its sequel were released exclusively for the Game Boy Advance. It is a much-loved role-playing franchise, although Nintendo has responded reluctantly to fan requests for new sequels to be made. To date, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn on the Nintendo DS is the third and last installment, but unfortunately, it did not meet sales expectations.
