Good news for CoD fans: the Black Ops 7 beta will arrive on this date, just before the release of Battlefield 6
The big end-of-year shooter showdown is heating up.
It had been a long time since we had seen the derby between the two great shooters due to the absence of one (or both). The days when Call of Duty and Battlefield faced off against each other annually are long gone. Battlefield withdrew from the annual battlefield with 2042, which marked a turning point in the DICE saga in 2021, while Call of Duty has remained consistent. It will be in 2025 when the two will face off again, and the battle looks set to be an exciting one, with Battlefield 6 generating a lot of buzz thanks to its open beta, something that the Activision/Microsoft franchise now has to respond to, with a date set in stone: October 2nd.
Not everyone will be able to access it on the same day
October 2 is reserved for those who have pre-ordered the title and Game Pass subscribers. For the rest of the public, the release date will be October 5, when everyone will be able to access Treyarch’s latest release until the end date of October 8.
In addition, those who pre-order the game will not only get early access to the beta, but will also receive the Reznov Challenge Pack. This special pack includes the SOG Reznov operator available in both Black Ops 7 and Warzone, as well as the Stalingrad Reznov and Memory Reznov themed skins, a nod to veterans of the series.
D-Day: November 14
As soon as the COD open beta ends, Battlefield 6 will kick off on October 10, giving it just over a month to position itself among shooter fans before the arrival of Black Ops 7, which will land on November 14. It promises to be a competition to remember in the history of the rivalry between the two companies.
