Goodbye to regularity, 'Hunter x Hunter' announces a new indefinite hiatus of manga
The series will go on hiatus after the premiere of chapter 410.
On October 7, ‘Hunter x Hunter’ returned to the pages of Shonen Jump after a long hiatus that began on December 25, 2022. Yoshihiro Togashi’s manga began publication on the now distant March 3, 1998, and its irregularity has been a constant due to the author’s health problems. Now, with the publication of chapter 410 this Sunday, December 8th, the series will once again go on an indefinite hiatus.
“The next chapter will be published as soon as it is decided,” says a note at the end of chapter 410, which will appear in the new issue of Shonen Jump. Togashi’s back problems could be one of the reasons, but the reason why the series decides to slow down again with a regularity that has led to ten new chapters since its return last October after almost two years of hiatus is unknown.
Hunter x Hunter' and the hope of seeing its finale
Is there a chance that ‘Hunter x Hunter’ will return in 2025? Fans of the series hope so, but since 2006, the series has been on hiatus. This has caused Yoshihiro Togashi’s creation to have two different animated adaptations, both of which had to be cancelled due to a lack of material to adapt.
The most notable hiatus that ‘Hunter x Hunter’ had was in 2018, when it managed to stay out of the pages of Shonen Jump for almost four years. A world full of possibilities that still needs to move forward to reach its end, full of mysteries, no one knows for sure if that moment will come.
