The fear of losing our smartphones is common among many people, which is why companies are committed to adding more and more security features. Android’s anti-theft protection has improved, offering greater security in case someone else gets hold of our device.

What does this mean? If a thief discovers our PIN code, all applications configured with biometric authentication will only work by scanning our fingerprint. If the fingerprint is not recognized, the alternative option of using the PIN code will not be offered.

Mobile phones are becoming increasingly secure

The mechanism known as Identity Check is a system that is activated when unusual user behavior is detected. For example, running down the street with your phone and then accessing your online banking app. That’s when this mechanism kicks in to prevent your most confidential data from falling into the wrong hands.

Google is now improving its capabilities and protection, preventing ways in which phone thieves could easily access the data of the person from whom they had stolen the device. This feature will be available on all Android devices by the end of this year.
