Update:

It’s official: Rockstar has announced the delay of GTA 6. What is undoubtedly the most anticipated video game of all time was set to be released in May next year, but will now finally be released on November 19, 2026. The company has said it regrets the delay, but that the new release date for Grand Theft Auto VI will allow it to further polish the game and deliver the level of quality that fans deserve.

Will there be a surprise before GTA 6?

Over the last few months, there have been numerous rumors about the possibility that Rockstar is working on remasters of classics and new versions of other titles. A few months ago, Tez2, the person who leaked the PC version of the first Red Dead Redemption, commented that the company plans to release remasters of GTA 4 and Max Payne 3. As if that weren’t enough, a few days later Rob Wiethoff, the actor who plays John Marston, the protagonist of RDR 2, hinted that we are close to seeing an improved version for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

GTA 6 will be released on November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. At this time, Rockstar has not confirmed that the game will be released on PC or Nintendo Switch 2.
