GTA 6 is still not complete in terms of content and could be delayed again, according to Jason Schreier
Rockstar continues to work tirelessly on the most important video game in its history and is still unsure about what content will ultimately be discarded.

We are in 2026, the year in which Rockstar is supposed to release GTA 6 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series finally. However, even though there are only about ten months left until its release, the game’s development may not be as advanced as many believe. According to Jason Schreier, a renowned journalist at Bloomberg, the new Grand Theft Auto is not yet complete in terms of content.
During the latest episode of the Button Smash podcast, Schreier commented that the latest he has heard about the status of GTA VI is that Rockstar is continuing to work on levels, missions, and other elements of the game, and they have not yet decided what will be included in the final version and what will be left out. For this very reason, the journalist believes that it is “difficult” to say with complete certainty that it will be released on November 19. “It’s really hard to say [what the release date will be] right now, I don’t think anyone at Rockstar could tell you with 100% certainty that they will make it out in November,” he added. Despite this, Scherier wanted to make it clear that employees believe this date is much more solid and realistic than the previous two.

Rockstar strives for perfection with GTA 6
Schreier also stated that Rockstar will not settle for anything less than absolute perfection when it comes to GTA 6, as there is a lot at stake. Beyond the sky-high expectations they must meet, Take-Two’s entire stock would be at stake with this release, and if they need a little more time to finish the game, they could release it before the fiscal year ends in March 2027 (so as not to affect their financial forecasts). In any case, it seems clear that the company would rather delay it again than release it in a “compromised” state.

Among other things, the journalist also mentioned that the company sees PlayStation as the main platform for the title, and that Sony itself would be organizing its release schedule around GTA VI. That’s how big the release of the new Grand Theft Auto will be. What do you think of all this information? Do you think there will be another delay or that the game will finally arrive in November?
