Take-Two

GTA 6 will not be delayed and Rockstar confirms the approximate release date

Take-Two is gearing up for a historic year with the release of GTA VI, Civilization 7, the return of Mafia and Borderlands 4.

In the absence of official announcements, there is nothing like a good investor meeting. Many companies these days present their financial results for the last four months and give an account to those who put up the money. This is the case of Nintendo, which was forced to share part of the Switch 2 catalog for 2025, but also that of Take-Two. The company that owns Rockstar Games has reassured its shareholders by confirming that GTA 6 will not be delayed and will arrive as planned, in the fall of 2025.

Nothing explains why those words sound so good for the wallet better than the numbers for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. The company also updated them in its presentation and they have sold 205 million and 62 million copies respectively. They are two of the best-selling games in history and Take-Two’s revenue projections show the same expectations for GTA 6. Its release is expected to break all kinds of records between September and December.

“As we look ahead, we believe that Take-Two remains exceedingly well-positioned for the long-term,” said Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two. “Our vision is clear, our talent is unparalleled, and we have one of the strongest portfolios of owned intellectual property in our industry. With many exciting new titles coming in Fiscal 2026 – including Grand Theft Auto VI in the fall, Borderlands 4 and Mafia: The Old Country – we expect to create long-term value for our shareholders.”

Zelnick is not lying when he talks about the portfolio. Keep an eye out for the impressive lineup of games Take-Two has coming in the coming months.
