GTA Online adds luxury mansions and Michael De Santa in ‘Safehouse in the Hills’
Rockstar expands Los Santos with high-end safehouses, a Mission Creator, and the comeback of Michael De Santa.
Rockstar Games continues to expand the world of GTA Online, and this time they are aiming for the high life. The latest update, titled A Safehouse in the Hills, brings a massive injection of content that longtime fans have been waiting for. Perhaps the most exciting news for veterans of the franchise is the return of Michael De Santa and his wife Amanda from the GTA V Story Mode, integrating them directly into the online experience.
What is included in A Safehouse in the Hills
At the heart of this update is the introduction of three new luxury properties: the Richman Villa, The Tongva Estate, and The Vinewood Residence. These aren’t just spawn points; they are functional hubs designed to streamline your criminal empire. Each mansion comes equipped with an AI Assistant that allows players to fast-travel to other owned properties, organize parties, and boost business production. For car collectors, these homes feature a 20-vehicle garage and a private helipad (Volatus helicopter included).
For players who love customization and immersion, the mansions offer incredible detail. You can now adopt a pet. To keep your character in peak condition, a new Gym and Yoga zone allows you to temporarily boost your health stats. For business owners, you can install a Security Team, that significantly reduces the frequency of business raids or blocks them entirely.
New Missions and Creative Tools
Beyond the luxury lifestyle, there is plenty of action. The update introduces the KnoWay Out missions. In this narrative arc, players will team up with Avi Schwartzman to dismantle a surveillance network run by an autonomous vehicle startup. Completing these missions as a leader offers a substantial GTA$ 400,000 weekly bonus.
Creativity also takes center stage with the new Rockstar Mission Creator. This is a comprehensive suite of tools that finally gives the community the power to design, build, and share their own custom missions, ensuring a steady stream of user-generated content for the foreseeable future.
The update is rounded out with a fresh fleet of vehicles, including the futuristic Pfister X-treme, the classic Übermacht Sentinel XS4, and the retro Grotti GT750. GTA+ members receive additional perks, such as early access to the Vapid FMJ MK V and the ability to manage warehouse staff remotely via the Vinewood Club app. With festive celebrations and more seasonal modes on the horizon, Los Santos is busier than ever.
