Hidetaka Miyazaki knows that fans want a Bloodborne PC port
The CEO of FromSoftware knows that people want more Bloodborne, but reminds fans that they don’t have the rights to the franchise… but it’s not impossible.
Hidetaka Miyazaki is possibly one of the greatest creative figures in the video game industry today, an individual of enormous importance who never ceases to surprise release after release having basically created the soulslike genre and its foundations. One of his most beloved creations is Bloodborne, the PS4 exclusive game that has become a cult title of which many constantly dream of, wanting to see it on other systems and with improvements such as 60 FPS. During an interview with PC Gamer, Miyazaki spoke up about about this long-awaited dream version of the game.
Miyazaki was asked about a possible Bloodborne PC port, to which he responded that he’s very aware that almost everyone at FromSoftware wants to make it. But he said that “If I say I want one, I’ll get in trouble as well. But it’s nothing I’m opposed to.”
He continued: “as one of the creators of Bloodborne, my personal, pure, honest opinion is I’d love more players to be able to enjoy it. Especially as a game that is now coming of age, one of those games of the past that gets lost on older hardware - I think any game like that, it’d be nice to have an opportunity for more players to be able to experience that and relive this relic of the past.”
Bloodborne, the masterpiece that must return
Miyazaki’s statements do not confirm that there will be a PC version of Bloodborne, but that he is willing to talk about it and give his opinion in this way is positive. In the meantime, we won’t have to wait long to enjoy his next game, Shadow of the Erdtree, the expansion of the spectacular Elden Ring.
