Hogwarts Legacy devs reveal a list of the most popular Houses in the game
An update to the player stats of Hogwarts Legacy has revealed the order of popularity of each house in the Wizarding World RPG.
Almost one year after the release of Hogwarts Legacy, the hype behind the Wizarding World action-RPG doesn’t seem to be dissaparattng. Recently we found out just how much the game sold last year to become the best selling title of 2023, and a few days later there were more revelations about the game’s exclusive content for PlayStation coming to other platforms.
As such, the developers have been sharing updated stats about the game, including an update on the popularity list of the four Hogwarts Houses in the game. And to the surprise of many, Slytherin has not been dethroned as the most popular house. There has, however, been a surprise right below it.
Which House is the most popular among players in Hogwarts Legacy
As mentioned above, the developers at Avalanche Software have shared that Slytherin continues to be the most popular House in the game with 30% of the total players having been sorted or choosing to go into it. Next is Gryffindor, hot on the heels in second place with a 29%, followed by Hufflepuff with an impressive 24%. As such, Ravenclaw has become the least popular House of Hogwarts with 17% of players in it
As such, the list is as follows:
- Slytherin - 30%
- Gryffindor - 29%
- Hufflepuff - 24%
- Ravenclaw - 17%
The surprise magical hit of 2023
Hogwarts Legacy has sold 22 million units (2 million of those just during the holidays), which makes it the best-selling title of 2023. This was stated by David Haddad, president of Warner Bros. Games, in an interview with Variety. The manager has also revealed that the company is preparing new projects that have not yet been announced, something that teases more games set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Warner Bros. Games is already working on multiple new additions to the Wizarding World in the world of video games. While not many details were revealed, we do know that Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is already in development, having already had a few closed beta periods. There are “a number of things” that are yet to be revealed, but there is a possibility of expansions and downloadable content for Hogwarts Legacy, if not and entire full sequel.
