Hogwarts Legacy: how do the PS4 and Xbox One versions run compared to PS5?

Take a look at how the old-generation versions of Hogwarts Legacy (on PS4 and Xbox One) when compared to the original release on PS5.

Update:
Hogwarts Legacy

Today, May 5, 2023, Hogwarts Legacy is finally out on PS4 and Xbox One. Three months after the launch of the original version for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the platforms of the previous generation receive a version about which there were many doubts. Because we did not have a single image of it until yesterday and because lately, there’s been quite a bit of displeasure as far as performance and ports are concerned (like The Last of Us on PC, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, or Redfall). But don’t worry because, to everyone’s surprise, it seems that this time the game is up to the task and the final work is commendable. The delay of these versions to polish them has been a success.

The Bits Analyst has presented a first comparison in which he assures that these months of delay “have been worth it” because “with acceptable visual clipping and correct performance, the PS4 versions are enjoyable.” The most affected fields are the draw distance and lighting, but still, the game manages to run at 60 fps indoors and around 45 fps outdoors. The worst of Hogwarts Legacy on PS4 and Xbox One seem to be loading times, which in the words of the Analyst “can be really tedious” when changing rooms.

Before leaving you with to your own devices, we remind you that the Nintendo Switch version would still remain to be seen, for which we still have to wait a little more (until July 25, 2023, to be more precise). And we also remind you that a few weeks ago a second Harry Potter game was announced that has just what Hogwarts Legacy is missing: quidditch. It’s called Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, and it’s focused on the king of sports in the magical world and Registration for the beta is now open
