Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has quickly become one of the most highly anticipated releases of not only the Activision franchise but of the entire year as well. After the hype built up thanks to the game’s successful beta periods, more and more reveals about the game have been keeping fans excited and ready to jump into the various modes that will be available in the game. One of those modes, the Single-Player campaign, is the focus of today’s news.

After the previous title of the series, Modern Warfare 3 (2023), failed to deliver fans a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy’s story, some were anxious about what would be next for that part of the fandom. Now, Raven Software has stated that fans have nothing to worry about, as the Black Ops 6 campaign not only continues the story from Cold War, but also has a longer duration than said story mode.

“The campaign… all game development is very fluid and we react to a lot of different things, but in the case of the previous game’s reception, we were already pretty locked in on the story we were telling and the missions we were creating,” said associate creative director at Raven Software, Jon Zuk, about the reception of MW3′s campaign. “So we didn’t react to how that was received.”

He continued: “I think that the game length is going to be variable from player to player, but even if you do try to do the speed run version of it, it is going to be longer than Cold War.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 releases on October 25, 2024. It’ll be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC through Battle.net and Steam. It will also be available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
