Update:

Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the newest Action RPG from Game Freak, is now available, and it has already captivated trainers with its reinvented gameplay centered entirely within the vibrant Lumiose City. Amidst the chaos of urban design, two of the franchise’s most beloved Pokémon, Pikachu and Eevee, are available for capture surprisingly early in the adventure.

Where to find Pikachu in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Finding the electric mouse, Pikachu, will be simple for anyone who ventures into the northern part of Lumiose City. Players should focus their search on Wild Area 3, a zone where at least two Pikachu are often present in each quadrant. This area also houses other common species like Litleo, Skiddo, and Flabébé, but the presence of multiple Pikachu provides a clear opportunity to secure one for your team quickly.

For trainers seeking a serious early-game challenge and a rewarding catch, an incredibly powerful Alpha Pikachu can be found on a rooftop in Wild Area 6. This formidable creature appears at level 41 and is notably more aggressive.

Where to find Eevee in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Eevee is arguably one of the most versatile Pokémon in the entire franchise, boasting eight possible evolutions that can adapt to almost any team composition. Trainers eager to utilize this utility player have two key locations to explore.

The first, an early-game location for an immediate catch, is found on the rooftops in the southern section of Lumiose City, specifically near Bleu Sector 7 / Café Truck No. 2. Accessing this spot requires a keen eye for climbing opportunities, and the Eevee found here may be a little flighty. If a capture attempt fails, trainers can pass the day/night cycle to try again.

For a much more consistent hunt, trainers should look toward the northeastern corner of the map in Wild Area 19. This zone is a more reliable location and will always have at least one Eevee active per cycle, eliminating the frustrating wait for a respawn. Due to Eevee’s rarity, players are highly advised to use an Ultra Ball to secure the capture.
