How to create and play with Victor Wembanyama in NBA 2K23: Face and Build
You don’t have to wait for the next version of NBA 2K to play with the new wonder kid of the league. Do one of the following to play with him now.
It hasn’t been long since the NBA season ended with the Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic winning their first championship during the Finals against the Miami Heat. While the celebrations are behind us, the league continues to move forward and last Thursday the NBA Draft was held where new talent will be ready to give it all when the tournament begins on October 23rd. On this occasion, the young Frenchman Victor Wembanyama was the first pick, selected by the San Antonio Spurs. We still have a long way to go to see him make his debut, but as always, thanks to video games, we have the opportunity to have him from now on in NBA 2K23 (which, let us remind you, it’s part of June’s PS Plus games).
How to play with Victor Wembanyama in NBA 2K23
Being able to play with an athlete a few days after being drafted to a team is quite a feat, although in NBA 2K23 it comes with a little trick. Wembanyama is not yet part of an officially updated roster in the game, but there are at least 3 ways to add him and play with him, which we will explain below:
MyTeam
The MyTeam mode, where players can build their team by selecting players from cards, is the official mode in which we can already play with Wembanyama. Since last week, the NEXT card pack has been added to this mode, where all the players in this year’s draft can appear. It’s a matter of luck and it will come out, although you can only use it in this mode.
Create a player
The NBA 2K series has a robust character creation system that allows players to recreate anyone in the game. And if you have the time and patience, you can recite Thanos’ famous words from the MCU, “Fine, I’ll do it myself,” and watch this video showing you how to create Wembanyama as a draft pick.
Download a new roster
If there is one thing that the Internet has taught us, it is that it is a very large community and that surely someone else has already done .... and why think about just creating Wembanyama when you can download the entire draft. Fortunately, NBA 2K23 allows us to modify the rosters of the teams and in some cases download the work of other players, where you can surely find this list of players.
