How to get a new Master Ball in Pokémon GO if you missed the Timed Investigation
Find out how to get a new Master Ball in Pokémon GO if you did not complete the free Timed Investigation in time.
In September, we told you that Pokémon GO was giving away a second Master Ball to all players, even though it was blocked after the tasks of a free Timed Investigation that expired on November 21. Niantic has made a new Master Ball available to all those who did not complete the Timed Investigation... which in this case is blocked by a paywall because it is part of a Paid Special Research.
How to get a new Master Ball in Pokémon GO with Paid Special Research
First things first, the new Paid Special Research Master Ball in Pokémon GO is only available to players who did not complete the free Timed Research Master Ball that began on September 1, 2023. In other words, this is not technically a third Master Ball for Pokémon GO, but a new opportunity for those who did not get the second one to get it now, but for a fee.
This Paid Special Investigation costs $7.99 or the equivalent in your local currency, and includes the following tasks:
Pokémon GO - Master Ball (1/3)
Pokémon GO - Master Ball (2/3)
Pokémon GO - Master Ball (3/3)
We remind you that we can only purchase this paid Special Research if we don’t get the September 2023 Master Ball in Pokémon GO. Once this Special Research is acquired, there is no deadline for completing the tasks, so we don’t have to worry and can complete them at our own pace.
