Attention Pokémon Trainers. Niantic has announced the debut of Shaymin, The Gratitude Pokémon, in Pokémon GO, which will be free to all players. This marks the debut of Shaymin Land Forme in the popular mobile game. Read on to find out how to get Shaymin for free in Pokémon GO:

In order to get the Shaymin Land Form for free in Pokémon GO, we need to complete its special research, called Grass and Gratitude, which is free for all players. This special research will be available from April 20, 2023, 10:00 a.m. local time.

And that’s it; we’ll just have to go through the various steps of the free Grass and Gratitude Special Research, completing each and every one of the tasks that the game suggests, until we reach the encounter with Shaymin. And as with the Pokémon encounters in the Research Tasks, this Pokémon cannot run away, so its capture is assured.

The last time players were able to get Shaymin in Pokémon GO was during Pokémon GO Fest 2022, so we encourage you to take advantage of this free Special Research to catch it without much hassle. It should be noted that Trainers who caught it during that event will also be given a new opportunity to catch this Pokémon.

This special research is part of Pokémon GO’s Sustainability Week 2023 event, which includes the debut of Bounsweet and her evolutionary line - Stenee and Tsareena - as well as wild Pokémon rotations and Pokémon available in Raids.
