Fortnite is back on iOS in Europe, and to celebrate, Epic Games is giving away a new outfit to all players. Mind you, this isn’t a direct freebie, but has its own unlocking requirements, though they’re relatively simple. Let’s take a look at everything you need to know about how to get Katalina for free, the new free outfit that we can get by completing a series of simple tasks:
How to get the new outfit Katalina for free in Fortnite
To get the new Katalina outfit for free in Fortnite, we have to do the following:
- We log in with our Epic Games/Fortnite account on an Android (worldwide) or iOS (European Union only) mobile phone.
- We play any Fortnite game mode and gain experience. Earning 100,000 XP will unlock both Katalina and the rest of her accessories. XP is earned automatically by performing various actions such as completing missions, killing enemies, surviving, opening chests, etc.
And that’s it: what we have to do is basically play Fortnite from a mobile phone and get a total of 100,000 XP. It is not an excessive amount, so it is possible to unlock Katalina and all her accessories in just an hour by playing two or three games of Battle Royale or Zero Build and completing the missions we have to do.
What are all the free items in the new Katalina outfit in Fortnite?
The new Katalina outfit in Fortnite is part of a set of four cosmetic items that are unlocked as follows:
- Tactical Cat wrap: Earn 25,000 XP on the Fortnite mobile app
- Kat Claws pickaxe: Earn 50,000 XP on the Fortnite mobile app
- Katalina’s Kit Bag back bling: Earn 75,000 XP on the Fortnite mobile app
- Katalina skin & LEGO style: Earn 100,000 XP on the Fortnite mobile app
Once unlocked, these items are ours forever and we can equip them from the locker whenever we want.
Remember that these are only cosmetic items that do not affect the game balance at any time. We can use them in all modes without any restrictions: Save the World, Creative, Battle Royale, Zero Build...
Until when can I get the Katalina outfit for free in Fortnite?
Keep in mind that this is a limited time promotion: we have between Friday, August 16, 2024 and Saturday, November 2, 2024 to get it.
We can only get Katalina while Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is still active. We have a total of 78 days to complete the unlock requirements to get all these free items. Anyway, the XP needed to get all these cosmetic items is very low and they can be obtained in one or two games we play.
