How to pre-order the Asus ROG Ally X
The new version of Asus’ handheld gaming PC, the ROG Ally X, is now available to pre-order. Here’s what you need to know.
The Asus ROG Ally X, Asus’ mid-generation upgrade to their original handheld gaming PC that launched last year, has been teased for quite a few months. Now, it is finally available for pre-order in select territories.
Teased by the company in May and eventually unveiled only last month, the ROG Ally X brings with it quite a few upgrades from the original model, like an expanded SSD storage solution, more RAM, and a much-needed larger battery that has double the capacity of the original device, among other new details.

How to pre-order the Asus ROG Ally X
As of right now, there are only two options available to pre-order Asus’ newest Windows handheld device, one for the US and one for the UK. This new model will officially release on July 22, 2024.
The ROG Ally X only comes in a single configuration, with the following upgrades:
- SSD Storage: 1TB
- RAM: 24GB
- 80Wh battery
- 2 USB Type-C slots
- Redesigned handles, triggers, buttons, and joysticks
